Removal of condensate from the drain pan of
draw-through HVAC systems is not a simple process. It
involves overcoming dynamic pneumatic and hydraulic forces, which
vary over wide ranges. Descriptive words and still photographs
and/or sketches cannot convey the nature and complexity of the
problems these forces create. Instead, dynamic measurements
and visual observations are required. To gather this
information, we have used video recordings to study and resolve
condensate removal problems. Selected clips from these video
recordings are included herein.
Notice
to video viewers
At this time,
the capability to transmit and receive quality video via the
Internet is too limited to allow high quality video transmission.
As a result, the video may become jumpy, hesitant, grainy and even out of
phase with the voice. When this happens, it can often be
corrected by re-running the video. To re-run the video,
click on the stop button and then on the start button at the upper left hand corner of the
RealPlayer™ dialogue box. Increasing the size of the
RealPlayer™ screen will enhance viewing on some
computers.
Despite transmission limitations, however, we
feel these video clips will allow you to assess the magnitude of
the condensate removal problems and assure you that an effective
and reliable solution is available. If you need details, we can provide a
computer video
CD or a tape of VCR quality.
